In frustration I told the technician I was not able to give an answer if I wanted his company to do the work until I have a detailed quote. I questioned this as well because as a savoy consumer I wanted to know exactly I was paying for and how much service was and the parts were going to cost me. It will only be listed as “Trip fee” and “Services performed” as one lump sum. This is when the technician explain there is not itemized breakdown of cost. At this point I was upset with my experience and confirmed I will work with someone else.Īs the technician was finishing up I put some thought into it and was thinking I should ask for a breakdown of cost to understand exactly what I was paying for if the company was to complete the work quoted. He responded by telling me the “trip fee” was and quote “only for them to come say hello”. At that point I stated he had only been there for 30 minutes and I thought the trip fee covered the initial diagnosis. Which I questioned again because I was only told I was responsible for the trip fee and I could decide to accept the quote or not. When I told the technician I would find another company he stated I would still be responsible for the trip fee and the time he spent at the home. I then again explained how I felt that was very much over priced and I refused the work to be completed.

The technician explain the total fee includes the trip fee I was disclosed prior to the visit and the part and time to complete the work. I questioned to amount because it seemed higher than expecting. He came to me to let me know what the problem was and how much it would coat to fix. He spent 30 minutes diagnosing my heating system. Upon arriving at my home the technician made no mention of any fee that would be charged. I understood the information share and schedule a visit. From their they would provide a quote of the work needed and I can decide if I want Aire Serv to perform the work. During those call the both explained I would have an automatic trip fee of $125 for them to come to the home and inspect my heating system. I spoke to two Women in the office ***** and **** trying to schedule service. Aire Serve is added undisclosed fees to a home visit inspecting my heating system.
